DESCRIPTION:This is a CREATIVE PLUS BUSINESS event delivered as part of Penrith City Council’s Magnetic Places program. \n\n\n\nEvery creative needs to know the basic legal essentials to help them understand intellectual property\, contracts and more\, as well as the best places to go for help. \n\n\n\nUnderstanding legal rights and responsibilities might not be the most interesting aspect of professional creativity\, but managing the basics is essential to surviving and thriving as an artist and creator. \n\n\n\nThe Art of Law is a relaxed and friendly workshop that covers those necessary basics\, that will help participants avoid most common pitfalls when making professional relationships with customers and clients. Monica has a Masters degree in Screen Arts and Business from AFTRS\, and was appointed as Australia’s first Creative Industries Business Advisor in 2013.
