SUMMARY:WEBINAR: Women's Work
DESCRIPTION:There’s nothing natural about the 9 to 5 of work\, especially for women. The modern world of business was devised a century ago by men who usually had wives and offices and rarely had to worry about domestic duties. Today’s women are still expected to squash themselves uncomfortably into a version of ‘work’ that they had nothing to do with inventing. \n\n\n\nWhat would business look like if women could create the world from scratch? Rip it all apart and start again? Would a female-identified perspective change the way we approach processes or systems? Would our work be more inclusive of caring responsibilities? Could we dispense with the notion of work-life balance\, because we’d figured it all out?Or would it be exactly the same? \n\n\n\nThree female-identifying trailblazers from the world of creative entrepreneurship will explore and celebrate values-based businesses\, working on their own terms\, and rejecting arcane entrepreneurial paradigms. They think outside of the box\, consciously create spaces that foster connection and conversation; wielding their power and influence ethically and intentionally to change the hearts\, lives\, and minds of those who interact with them. \n\n\n\nWhat’s Included?A 90-minute panel webinar with our creative industries experts (which you can access later if you want)\, plus lifetime access to additional resources on our website containing more resources to support your learning. \n\n\n\nWho should sign up?Creative and arts practitioners\, freelancers\, start-ups\, students and arts entrepreneurs from beginners to established (International sign-ups welcome!). We also welcome curious hobbyists and people from outside the arts. \n\n\n\nWho’s hosting?Monica Davidson is an award-winning expert on the creative industries\, who began her professional life as a freelance journalist and filmmaker.
