SUMMARY:SUNSHINE COAST: I Hate Networking
DESCRIPTION:Facilitated by CREATIVE PLUS BUSINESS as part of Sunshine Coast Council’s MadeSC Professional Development Program. \n\n\n\nNetworking is a necessity in the creative industries\, but many practitioners consider it to be the stuff of nightmares.  \n\n\n\n‘I Hate Networking’ is an entertaining hybrid between traditional in-person workshop and social event designed to encourage creative people to get to know each other\, while acknowledging the horror\, and sharing a few tips at the same time. The first half is dedicated to learning the most effective strategy for effective networking\, including preparation and follow up. The second half is a practical opportunity to rehearse some of these tips in a safe and friendly environment\, while embracing the discomfort of the whole process and having a laugh. \n\n\n\nBOOK NOW (via Humanitix)RSVPs for this in-person workshop are essential. Limited spaces available. \n\n\n\nThis program is suitable for artists\, creatives and aligned organisations or collectives including but not limited to – ceramics\, photography\, design\, dance\, performance\, music\, fashion\, film and screen\, gaming\, painters\, illustrators\, animation\, music\, writers\, publishers and many more. \n\n\n\nWho is presenting?Monica Davidson Monica Davidson is an award-winning expert on the creative industries\, who began her professional life as a freelance journalist\, performer\, and filmmaker.
