ONLINE (QLD): Old School + Traditional Media Methods

October 28 @ 6:30 pm 8:30 pm AEST

This is part of the Online Webinar Series, facilitated by CREATIVE PLUS BUSINESS and part of Sunshine Coast Council’s MadeSC Professional Development Program.

Everything old is new again – with the increased instability of social media, more creatives are turning back to previous marketing tactics. This webinar explores the benefits and practicalities.

This workshop examines:
+ The EDM: regular newsletters and reaching out directly to fans and audience.
+ ‘Warm Calling’: A new take on the old process of cold calling, with a better strategy and results.
+ Giveaways and Pro Bono Offerings; When working for free is a GOOD idea.
+ Coffee Meetings: Using the in-person consumption of hot drinks to create lasting relationships.

What’s Creative Plus Business?
We’re a social enterprise dedicated to educating creative people and arts organisations about business skills. We help through sharing practical knowledge in a fun and irreverent way, and everything we do is designed to help creatives to feel more confident and comfortable about the entrepreneurial aspects of their creative practice. We believe that a bit of naughtiness, tempered with a kind heart and a big dose of professionalism, is the key to helping creative people understand the boring basics of business.

What is MadeSC?
MadeSC is a creative and professional development program that supports independent artists, creative businesses and arts organisations across the Sunshine Coast to develop, create, connect and present. The program is designed to strengthen professional practice and industry connections, support new work and link participants with presentation and career development opportunities.
