Bio:

Oumi Karenga-Hewitt is a Burundian-born, British writer, director, producer and community advocate based on Awabakal country in NSW. With a background in marketing, digital content, and community engagement she has spent the last 10 years in regional Australia applying her practice to community arts and the creative industries. Oumi served seven years on the board of Western Riverina Arts and has participated in professional development opportunities with SBS, Screen Producers Australia, NIDA, SEGRA, and Diversity Arts Australia. As a creative, Oumi writes, performs, and directs and has produced film, theatre, events, community initiatives, and educational programs.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Arts – English (Language and Literature) with Film Studies
